Research
-
Stony Brook University COMPAS Lab: MLISA
Compiler & Architecture Development, Machine Learning, Cpp/ARM/RISCV/LLVM/MLIR/PyTorch
I served as the project lead on this research initiative, which incorporated multiple graduate students. My work focused on developing novel compiler infrastructure and architecture for machine learning acceleration hardware.
- This work began as a Simons Fellow, a highly competitive program with a <4% acceptance rate.
- It subsequently continued as a full-time Research Assistant in Prof. Mike Ferdman's COMPAS Lab at Stony Brook University.
-
University of Michigan Future of Programming Lab
CS Education Software, OCAML/ReasonML/Menhir
I was the first high school lab member working in Professor Cyrus Omar's FP Lab at the University of Michigan.
- Collaborated with PhD students on thesis projects to develop computer science education software.
- The software developed is currently used in multiple university courses.
- Investigated tile-based editors and languages.
-
New York University Martiniani Lab
Computational Physics Algorithm, Rust
I was the only high schooler in this graduate-level research lab, where I studied graduate-level theoretical physics with Professor Stefano Martiniani.
- Developed a nested-sampling algorithm in the Rust language for use in multiple physics research labs.
Independent Projects
-
SWO Wants Options (SWO)
Compilers, Award-Winning Language Project, C#/LLVM
I created a novel general-purpose compiled programming language designed for use in computer science education. This project entailed multiple years of self-teaching and research work in compiler development.
- Received the 3rd Place Grand Award in the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF).
- Recognized as a Regeneron Science Talent Search (STS) Top 300 Scholar in America's oldest and most prestigious science competition.
-
Safe Water Operation
Congressional App Winner, Webdev/JS/React
I developed an app that allows Long Island residents to quickly and easily check the real-time quality of their local bodies of water and understand safety through generative AI integration. This project was the winner of the Congressional App Challenge for district NY01.
-
Greenvim
Custom Neovim IDE, Lua/Linux
A Neovim configuration built to be as powerful as an IDE but as light and fast as vanilla Vim. Greenvim features a minimalistic look while having as many features as most IDEs.
Other Projects
-
Lemelson-MIT InvenTeam
Tick Overpopulation Solution, Founder & President, 3d-Printing/Biology/Business/Design
As Team President & Founder, I founded a $60k+ grant-winning MIT InvenTeam dedicated to solving the problem of tick overpopulation in the local community of Long Island and the Northeast.
- Researched tick behavior and attractants in collaboration with the Suffolk County government.
- Designed a novel 3D-printed tick deterrence/trapping device.
- Presented our work at Town of Huntington board meetings and MIT.
-
NHRL Combat Robotics
Co-Captain, 3d-Printing/CAD/Manufacturing
I was part of the only all-high school NHRL team competing in an international competition, featuring a novel design that inspired other larger teams. -
FRC Robotics Team
Co-Captain, Java/Kotlin/3d-Printing/Design
As co-captain, I built a custom swerve drivetrain complete with no-accelerometer odometry, PIDs, field orientation, and a self-correcting motion-profiled autonomous mode.
