Research
-
Compiler/Architecture/Machine Learning, Cpp/LLVM/Python/Torch/MLIR/Cuda
Served as the project lead on research initiative incorporating multiple graduate students. Focused on developing novel compiler infrastructure and architecture for machine learning acceleration hardware.
- Work began as a Simons Fellow (competitive research fellowship with a <4% acceptance rate)
- Continued as a full-time paid Research Assistant
- Supervised by professor Mike Ferdman in collaboration with Professor Peter Milder (SBU) and Prasanth Chatarasi (IBM). Thanks to SUNY and IBM for funding this research.
-
Programming Language Theory, Ocaml/Reason/Menhir
First high school lab member working in Professor Cyrus Omar's FP Lab
- Collaborated with PhD students on thesis projects to develop computer science education software.
- The software developed is currently used in multiple university courses.
- Investigated tile-based editors and languages.
-
Computational Physics, Rust/HPC/Parallelization
I studied graduate-level theoretical physics algorithms with Professor Stefano Martiniani and post-doctoral researcher Mathias Kasiulis
- Developed a nested-sampling algorithm in the Rust language for use in multiple physics research labs.
Independent Projects
-
STS/ISEF, Compilers/C#/LLVM
Was feeling a bit curious and went down a (years long) rabbit hole. Ended up building a general-purpose compiled programming language designed for use in computer science education. This project involved self-teaching graduate-level CS for compiler development.
- Received the 3rd Place Grand Award in the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF).
- Recognized as a Regeneron Science Talent Search (STS) Top 300 Scholar in America's oldest and most prestigious science competition.
-
Congressional App, Webdev/JS/React
Developed an app that allows Long Island residents to quickly and easily check the real-time quality of their local bodies of water and understand safety through generative AI integrationl; won the Congressional App Challenge
-
Just my Neovim config in eternal development for ~5 years. "I use vim btw"
Other Projects
-
Manufcaturing/Biology/Business/Design
President & founder of a $60k+ grant-winning MIT InvenTeam dedicated to solving the problem of tick overpopulation on Long Island.
- Researched tick behavior and attractants in collaboration with the Suffolk County government.
- Designed a novel 3D-printed tick deterrence/trapping device.
- Presented our work to government officials and at MIT.
-
3d-Printing/CAD/Manufacturing
I was part of the only all-high school NHRL team competing in an international competition, featuring a novel design that inspired other larger teams.
-
Co-Captain, Java/Kotlin/Fabrication/CAD/Design
As co-captain, I built a custom swerve drivetrain complete with no-accelerometer odometry, PIDs, field orientation, and a self-correcting motion-profiled autonomous mode.
